- This is lynx 2-3-1 beta compiled for the Atari ST range of computers. It
- can be run without MintNet to browse files on your local system. To run
- it on a SLIP or PPP connection MiNT and MintNet are also needed. This
- version has shown to work quite well on a Falcon w 4MB running MintNet
- and MinixFS, but I don't guarantee that everything works. I take no
- responsibility if lynx damage your system.
-
- See INSTALL for installation notes.

- Howdy,
- I just got this via Atari.Archive.Umich.Edu...It was TGZ'd, and no one I
- know has tested it yet. It appears to require MiNTNet and the XFS file
- system for MiNT (but I'm not sure about the XFS-thing).
-
- The files in the \BIN directory are actual executables (Programs,
- binaries, etc.). For kicks, and on a short time-schedule, I renamed
- 'LYNX' to 'LYNX.TOS', it ran, asked me about my VT emulation, and then
- quit...so, I gather, setting this up will take some work (as _all_ UNIX
- utilities do).
-
- I wish you all the best of luck with this, and will definitely be keeping
- folks abreast of my progress with LYNX in the Atari ST RoundTable on
- GEnie... Hopefully, we can pool our resources and streamline the
- installation process of this potentially powerful utility.
